| 取食行为 feeding behaviour 动物获得营养的诸般活动，包括寻找、获取和贮藏食物等过程。取食的策略是以尽可能少的时间和精力去获得尽可能多的能量收益。食物一般分布不均匀，因此取食过程中都有一个搜寻的阶段。猎取方式有多种：猎食者可能要走来走去搜寻猎物，也可能埋伏起来等猎物接近时再出击，还可能将猎物从隐蔽处惊起以便捕食(如杂色鹡鸰)。肉食性动物往往偷偷接近猎物(潜近)，如猫头鹰飞行无声，许多食肉目猛兽会屏息地降低身体行动，还有些动物(如避役)会迂回曲折地接近猎物。猎食者常选择较易捕到的猎物为追捕对象，如非洲野犬会从近处突然冲向羚羊群，很快选择一只跑得慢的个体为追捕对象。对于极为机敏的猎物，猎食者往往不愿为之浪费精力，只有狼群才穷追不舍，把猎物追到筋疲力尽为止。也有些动物采取其他节省精力的方式猎食，如斑鬣狗和豺会食腐尸或偷食其他猎食者捕来的猎物，贼鸥常袭击其他鸟类并偷取其食物。有些动物还采取集体行猎的方式，如狼、豺狗和非洲野犬等。等待也是一种取食策略，其形式多种多样：有的捕食者只是坐等，如海葵伸开触手，等小鱼撞入；有的捕食者随机移动，如水母随波漂浮，碰到鱼类即吞食；有的动物会引诱猎物上钩，如用以背鳍演化来的钩丝引诱其他鱼类。养殖是一种更有效的策略。例如，切叶蚁剥取植物叶片，用作菌床，以繁殖真菌为食。 |
