This article discusses technology for making cores and flakes in early Stone Age at Fengshudao(Guangxi),which is crucial for further researches on the first step of the "operational-chain of the hand-axe culture",as well as for comparing Acheulean occidental stone artifacts in early human migrations.

In this work, the forming energy is emphatically calculated that a diamond nucleus is built up on a micro defect (pit) produced on the substrate surface by ion bombardment in the process of negative bias enhanced diamond nucleation.

Based on the metamorphic features, the oncolites from the study area can be divided into three types: annular oncolite, stalagmite oncolite, and ginger-shaped oncolite.

The structure and texture found in these nodules are characteristic of oncolite.
