价格调整方程：用来表示通货膨胀率与产生通货膨胀压力之间关系的方程，用公式简单地表示为πt=πte+h(Yt-Y*)/Y*。式中，πt为第t期的通货膨胀率；πte为人们对t期通货膨胀率的预期；(Yt-Y*)/Y*为第t期总需求与潜在产出水平的偏离；h为这种偏离对通货膨胀率的影响系数。价格调整方程表明，通货膨胀率与人们的预期成同方向变动，并且也受到来自于需求压力的正向影响。由于总需求与潜在产出水平的偏离与失业率成反方向变动，则价格调整方程也被表示成通货膨胀率与失业率之间的交替关系。
