It is endemic to the Common Seepweed(Suaeda glauca) habitats for breeding in Yancheng National Nature Reserve(YNNR),which have been lost and degraded because of human land use and expansion of Smooth Cord-grass(Spartina alterniflora).
以江苏盐城国家级自然保护区核心区为研究区,结合黑嘴鸥巢址GPS点,利用1992、2002和2007年Landsat TM遥感影像作为主要信息源,借助地理信息空间分析技术,在获取栖息地植被类型信息的基础上,采用非等密度亚像元模型反演碱蓬植被覆盖度信息,提取研究区黑嘴鸥适宜繁殖栖息地动态变化情况,并进一步对其进行预测。

广西营盘港-英罗港儒良国家级自然保护区
位于广西壮族自治区合浦县，面积86400公顷，1986年广西自治区人民政府批准建立，1992年晋升为国家级，主要保护对象为儒良及其生态环境。
本区地处我国海岸线的西南部，南濒北部湾，属南亚热带海洋性气候。区内水质良好，水下有众多潮流脊与潮流深槽及潮间浅滩，海草蘩茂，生境适宜，是我国儒良活动的密集区域。儒良为国家一级重点保护野生动物，也属世界性珍稀濒危水生哺乳动物，该的建立对保护和恢复儒良种群具有重要意义。
