﹝出华严经疏﹞
［一、二乘非器］，谓佛说华严经时，一切二乘根器狭劣，不能听闻。故出现品云：一切二乘，不闻此经，何况受持，故虽在座，如聋如瞽；是名二乘非器。（二乘者，声闻乘、缘觉乘也。）
［二、众生非器］，谓一切邪见众生，无信心故，非其根器，虽闻此经，闻即生谤，而堕恶道，是名众生非器。
