| 化痰止咳平喘剂 以祛痰、止咳、平喘药为主要组成，具有消除或减轻咳嗽、气喘、痰饮等作用的一类方剂。主要治疗外感邪气犯肺，肺气不宣，或肺气虚、肺阴虚，或脏腑功能失调，影响于肺所引起的咳嗽、气喘、咯痰稀白或粘稠，或干咳无痰，或痰饮等证，还可治疗与痰有关的瘰病痰核。根据作用不同，化痰止咳平喘剂可分为燥湿化痰剂、温化寒痰剂、清化热痰剂、润燥止咳剂、补肺止咳剂、止咳平喘剂、化痰散结剂（见下表）。
