（术语）八苦之一。又曰五盛阴苦。解盛有二义：一就苦而说。人各具五阴而众苦炽盛，故曰盛。又五阴之器盛众苦，故曰盛。中论疏七曰：“有斯五阴，众苦炽盛，名五盛阴苦。又此五阴，盛贮众苦，名五盛阴苦。”次一义，为五阴之作用炽盛，故名为五阴盛或五盛阴。旧译之经常呼五阴而言为五盛阴者，即此意也。增一阿含经十七曰：“世尊告诸比丘曰：彼云何为担？谓五盛阴是。”然则五阴盛苦，犹单言五阴苦也。
