江苏泰兴省级古银杏森林公园坐落于有“天下银杏第一镇”美誉的宣堡镇。公园占地面积9800亩，其间村庄错落、银杏成林、果树成片，仅公园核心区就有定植银杏树13800余株，其中挂果树9800株。园区有千年古银杏3株，200年以上的银杏树1600株，100年以上的银杏树3800余株，银杏资源极其丰富，已形成稳定的植物群落。古银杏枝繁叶茂的巨大树冠和矮干形成了泰兴银杏的独特姿态，片片大树或围于村庄，或分布沟边、路旁，是全国最大的古银杏分布密集区，有关专家称“世界绝无、中国仅有”，并誉之为“自然之奇迹，休闲之胜地”。
银杏公园自建成以来，已接待亚、非、欧、美等16个国家的专家学者和各地游客共10万人次，今后将扎根于优越的古银杏资源和丰富的乡野民情，突出古银杏景观、古村落风貌和古银杏文化的景观特色，创造“人、森林、生态、文化”的多元共生空间为主题，努力建设融休闲度假、娱乐、会议与文化交流、科普教育为一体的国家级森林公园，让更多的游客领略这一叹为观止的历史遗留下来的自然景观。
据统计，“十一”黄金周期间，省级泰兴古银杏森林公园共接待中外游客3万多人（次），是去年同期的3.5倍。
省级泰兴古银杏森林公园规划9800亩，包括1条水上风光带、6个功能区、15个主题园和42个景点，园内共有银杏树1.38万多株，其中千年古银杏3株，200年以上古银杏1600多株，百年以上古银杏3800多株。远远望去，莽莽苍苍的银杏林，像连绵不断的群山，煞是壮观，被专家称为“自然之奇迹，休闲之胜地”。
