| 柽柳 Tamarix 柽柳科柽柳属植物的通称。该属约90种。产于欧洲、亚洲及非洲的草原、半荒漠地区，中国有18种，主要分布于西北、华北地区。柽柳萌条坚韧，可作农具和编筐；枝叶为优良燃料和饲料；茎皮含鞣质，可制栲胶；嫩枝叶入药；花色美、花期长，可作观赏植物和蜜源植物。柽柳是落叶小乔木或灌木。小枝细弱。单叶、互生、鳞片状。花小、两性，成细弱的穗状或总状花序，或有时组成圆锥状花序。蒴果。种子细小，顶端有束毛（见图）。喜光。耐高温、低温及大气干旱。对土壤条件适应性强：既耐干旱瘠薄，又耐水湿盐碱。在盐碱地区的柽柳，常见树体有泌盐现象。深根性。生长迅速，萌蘖性强。抗风蚀，不怕沙埋与沙割，是改良盐碱地和营造防护林的优良树种。播种或插条繁殖。一年生苗高1.5米左右即可出圃造林。主要害虫有柽柳条叶甲、柽柳圆眼叶甲等食叶害虫。
