形态特征:藜科盐生草属一年生草本植物,高5-30厘米。茎直立,多分枝,枝互生,基部的枝近于对生,灰绿色,无毛和无乳头状小突起。叶互生,叶片圆柱形,长4-12毫米,宽1.5-2毫米,顶端常有长刺毛。7-8用开花,花腋生,小,通常4-8朵聚集成团伞花序,遍布于植株;花被片披针形,膜质,背面有1条粗脉,果时自背面近顶部生翅;翅半圆形,膜质,大小近相等,有多数明显的脉。果实为胞果,果皮膜质,包藏花被内;种子圆形,直立。
生境分布生于山脚、戈壁滩,海拔800-2210米。分布于甘肃西部、青海、新疆及西藏。蒙古、俄罗斯西伯利亚至中亚地区也有。
