The life form and the individual size group of grasshoppers in typical steppe of Inner Mongolia were dealt with based on morphometric data(length of body,height of body,width of body,length of tegmen,length of post femur,length of pronotum,length of post tibia,miximum width of head).
根据内蒙古锡林河流域草原蝗虫的形态测量指标，对２３种蝗虫进行了个体大小及生活型量化划分的探讨，结果表明：２３种蝗虫可以划分为大、中、小３个类群，生活型表现为从典型的地栖型到典型的植栖型的渐变特征。

在新疆北部的草原上,不时有一尊石雕人像进入人们的视野。但是这些石人来自何方,是谁人所为,是哪个民族或部落的文化遗产?学术界至今还没有揭开这些谜底。这些石人都是用整块的岩石雕凿而成。从外形来看,大都是全身像,头部、脸型和身躯雕刻得生动逼真。近年在博尔塔拉蒙古族自治州温泉县境内阿尔卡特草原上发现的阿尔卡特石人,就是用一整块白沙岩石雕凿而成的。其头部雕凿出一个宽圆的脸庞,一双突起的细长眼睛和高高的颧骨,上唇有两撤八字胡须。身上雕凿出翻领大袷袢,腰部束一根宽腰带,右手拿一只杯子举在胸前,左手按着一把垂挂在腰际的长剑。脚部刻画出一双皮靴子。石人的脸部表情严肃,仿佛是威武的将士在保卫和巡视着周围的草原。这些来历不明的石人引起了越来越多的游人的兴趣,而研究历史的学者们也在积极探讨这些石雕作品的“来龙去脉”。
