The famous drama " Nuo" popular in town of Guichi in Anhui Province in China is a traditional folk dancing and drama activities where actor and actress performed with masks, playing the role of Chinese folk ceremony honoring the gods and ancestors; it is originated from the ancient sprite of worship, with major purpose of dispelling evil and invoking blessings, etc.
安徽贵池傩是源自古老的原始崇拜,是以躯疠纳吉为目的、以戴面具为搬演特征的请神祭祖的民间祭祀、歌舞、戏曲活动,其组织形式主要以宗族、地缘关系为脉络,在中国傩文化圈中具有代表性,其傩戏被誉为“中国戏曲的活化石”,贵池也被授予“中国傩文化之乡”的美誉。
