Hence, the present dissertation attempts to discuss two important parts of unsteady design: Unsteady Flow Pattern and Edge Matching, on which preliminary investigations are performed.

In this paper, procedures to transform UNFT (Unsteady Natural Flow Typ e) into UCFT (Unsteady Cooperative Flow Type) in annual static diffusion cascade have been investigated together with the time-average performance improvement i n axial compressor with UCFT.

Experimental Investigation on Capturing UCFT of Axial Compressor in Annual Static Diffusion Cascade;

Pressure gradient of unsteady flow of fluid in eccentric annulus with the inner cylinder reciprocating axially;

Flow rate distribution of the unsteady flow of power law fluid in eccentric annuli with the inner cylinder reciprocating axially;
