性状描述：

橙红色粉状，不溶于水；乙醇；丙酮和甲苯；微溶于氯仿（热）；邻氯苯酚；吡啶；能溶于二甲苯；四氢萘。在浓硫酸中呈暗绿色，稀释后呈橙色。在碱性保险粉还原液中的隐色体呈红光紫色，在酸性液中为橙色。微不光脆性。属蒽醌类还原染料。


生产方法：由1，8-萘二甲酸出发，经氨化；重排；水解；重氮化；芳构化；环合吸溴化而成，再经商品化处理，而制得产品。

用途：主要用于棉纤维及其纺织物的染色和印花。也行之有效用于麻；粘纤；蚕丝；粘棉混纺织物的染色。一般用于作拼色及调整色光。该品的印染品经脲醛或氰醛树脂整理后，色光稍有变化。
