补充资料:神通寺四门塔
      中国佛塔。位于山东省历城县柳埠镇。隋大业七年(611)建,是现存最早的单层塔。塔全用青石砌成,平面方形,每边长7.38米。四面砌台阶,由圆券门通入塔内。内部中心有石砌方墩直通至顶,墩外四面各有圆雕坐佛像1尊及胁侍像2尊,像上有东魏年号,时在建塔以前,应是塔建成后移入者。塔壁简素无饰,上以5层叠涩挑出为檐,再以反叠涩砌成方锥台状屋顶,锥台上砌叠涩须弥座为刹座,座四角立石雕山花蕉叶饰,正中立5层相轮,形如圆筒,最后以宝珠结束。全高约13米。塔以比例权衡适度而见长,极少使用装饰。不大的圆券门洞恰当地显示了全塔尺度;叠涩的出檐线和锥顶轮廓线都是微凹的曲线;轮廓较为丰富的塔顶,塔内精细的造像和简洁的塔身形成对比,刚柔相济,显示出一种朴质的本色美。
  
  
  单层塔又称亭式塔,在北朝石窟雕刻和壁画中所见已多,此塔与之相似。以后所存单层塔大多都是僧侣的墓塔。
