The effects of the betaine concentration in basic medium and the concentration added in the course of fermentation on biosynthesis of vitamin B12 by Pseudomonas denitrificans were investigated in shake flasks,and the influence of betaine on δ-aminolaevulinic acid synthase was also studied.
