（术语）佛说法华经于其迹门度声闻人，分正说，领解，述成，授记四段，以之为一周。而于其声闻人以上中下之三根有为前后三周。是曰三周说法：一、法说周，当舍利弗一人之上根直说妙法之实理，使之悟入一乘者。涉于方便品与譬喻品。二、譬喻周，当大迦叶等四人之中根。说三车之譬喻，使之悟入一乘者。涉于譬喻品，信解品，药草喻品，授记品之四品。三、因缘周，当其他一切声闻人之下根，说过去大通智胜佛时之因缘，使之悟入一乘者。化城喻品，五百授记品，人记品是也。如此三段次第度上中下根周足。而迹门法华之正宗分毕于此矣。法华玄义十曰：“如法华三周说法断奠声闻，咸归一实。”
