- 矿物概述
化学组成：pt,以铂为主，但经常含有少量其他元素，如fe，ni，pd，au，cu等混入物；
鉴定特征：银白至钢灰色，比重大，在空气中不氧化，除王水之外，在普通酸类中不溶解。以高比重和硬度大区别于自然银；
成因产状：自然铂主要见于岩浆矿床，成因上与基性﹑超基性岩有关;此外，常富集于砂矿中；
著名产地：
世界著名产地有南非meresnkyreef、俄罗斯乌拉尔、加拿大、美国等地。
名称来源：platinum一字，来自西班牙语的platina，意指银；
