In this paper, the adsorption of theβ–Si_3N_4(0001) and small molecules have been studied by density functional theory at 6-31G~* basis set level: the adsorption of water on the surface ofβ–Si_3N_4(0001); the adsorption of water and alcohol on the relaxation surface ofβ–Si_3N_4(0001) the adsorption of oxygen on the surface ofβ–Si_3N_4(0001).
