By means of a torsion balance apparatus with heat cabinet and steam, the torque twist relationship and torque relaxation of cashmere yarn in conditions of standard and steaming are measured and compared with wool yarn, and the effect of pre tension on the torque relaxation of cashmere yarn is investigated.
