In order to investigate the process for synthesizing quaternary ammonium salts with different anions via a one-step reaction of ammoium/aminium salts and a proper alkyl source, for example, carbonates, our work focuses on those aspects as follow:1.

The hydroxylammonium salt of 3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one(HANTO) was synthesized by the reaction of 3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one with NaOH and then with hydroxylammonium chloride.

The results show that both membrane hydrophilicities and solution(viscosities) were increased with increasing the quantity of quaternary ammonium salt(BAN) in the solution,and a viscosity enhancement phenomenon was observed.
