    分子式C20H19N3,分子量301.38。又称碱性品红。棕红色晶体。微溶于水,水溶液呈红色。溶于乙醇和酸。用于棉、人造纤维、纸张、皮革的印染,也用于喷漆、墨水等。品红可与二氧化硫结合成不稳定的无色物质,经较长时间或受热时又可分解,出现红色。品红还可作为区别醛和酮的一种试剂。可由苯胺、邻甲苯胺、对甲苯胺与硝基苯在铁和氯化锌存在时加热制成。
