A Cd(II) adduct [Cd(DBTC)2(4,4'-bipy)] (2) was synthesized by mixing 4,4'-bipyridyl with the precursor [Cd(DBTC)2]2 (1) (DBTC=N,N-dibenzyl dithiocarbamate anion) and characterized by X-ray crystallography structural analysis and IR spectra respectively.
