一作“杨雄”。西汉文学家、哲学家、语言学家。字子云，蜀郡成都(今属四川)人。汉成帝时为给事黄门郎。王莽称帝后，任太中大夫。早年以辞赋闻名，有《甘泉赋》、《长杨赋》等名篇。晚年研究哲学，仿《论语》和《易经》作《法言》和《太玄》。另有研究语言学的《方言》和吹捧王莽的《剧秦美新》等。明人辑有《扬侍郎集》。
