| 唇口目 Cheilostomata 裸唇纲的一目。全世界约90科700属，其中55％为现生属。中国已发现现生种约700种。 大多数群体都属被覆型，多半为单层皮壳状，多层群体因个虫重叠而呈块状、棒状、珊瑚状等，少数为直立的叶状、鹿角状、牡丹花状。群体以水平出芽产生自个虫，垂直出芽产生异个虫。自个虫一般呈箱形，通常具刺，体壁钙化。室口常位于前面的末端，由口盖关闭。胚胎在特殊的育卵室内或体腔内保育。唇口类个虫体壁的钙化程度因种类而异。 唇口类个虫有7种类型：①不育或受孕的自个虫；②雄个虫；③雌个虫；④鸟头体；⑤振鞭体；⑥空个虫；⑦卵室或育卵室。鸟头体和振鞭体是唇口类所特有的异个虫。 唇口类几乎遍及整个海洋，甚至泥质海底也有它们的代表。被覆性种类大多数附着在岩石、砾石和贝壳上。对海草和大型海藻的选择性十分明显。在一片昆布叶状体或大叶藻叶片上常可附着10余种数十个群体。 唇口类最早出现于中生代，现分为3个亚目：无囊亚目、筛壁亚目和有囊亚目。 |
