多见于肌肉直接损伤后，如股四头肌、肱肌、髋内收肌等，血肿机化，成纤维细胞增殖，骨样组织形成，并分泌碱性磷酸酶。伤后6～8周出现骨化。关键在于预防。在骨折或关节脱位进行复位过程中，操作必须轻柔，以减少肌肉或韧带的损伤。禁止在没有麻醉情况下进行粗暴的反复操作。
