OBJECTIVE In this work, the concentration-time course,tissue distribution ,excretion and plasma protein binding ratio of saffloside A in rat were investigated to provide pharmacokinetics parameters for its safe and rational clinical application.

性质：又称天竺葵色素苷。长红色针状结晶。熔点185℃。175℃软化。难溶于1％～2％的盐酸，在冷盐酸中非常难溶，热之易溶。易溶于水，呈橘黄色。与甲醇加温即溶，冷之有结晶析出，溶液为黄红色，并带绿黄色荧光，加入38％的冷盐酸，即分离出1分子的葡萄糖，而成花葵半苷(pelargonenin)，热之，即全部水解成1分子花葵素(pelargonidine)及2分子葡萄糖。本品为一种花色苷，存在于天竹葵属植物Pelargonium Zonale L.或矢车菊属植物CenTaurea cyanuS L.的红色花中。由萃取而得。为天然色素，用于调色。
