Based on the educational programs of civil engineering major as well as the characteristics of its students,this paper researches into the teaching of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology from the aspects of teaching content,classroom teaching pattern,and teaching practice methods.

As higher professional police college students, they should not only master relevant basic knowledge and theories but also the application practical ability and skills which can be developed by teaching innovation such as strengthening practical teaching, opening labs, perfecting the check on practical operation and organizing exercitation.
