x-47 是诺斯罗普.格鲁门公司研制的一种无人作战飞机，目前其型号有 x-47a 和 x-47b。x-47a 采用了类似风筝的气动布局，其外形更接近于进行秘密行动任务的飞机的理想外形。机翼前缘后掠角 55 度，后缘前掠角 35 度，采用单发动机布局，发动机进气口位于机身上方前部。x-47a 的设计特点是有 6 个操纵表面，2 个升降副翼和 4 个“嵌入面”。“嵌入面”是一种小型的可收式控制表面，用以代替分段方向舵，提供方向安定性。两个位于机翼上部，其余两个在机翼下部的对应位置。与机翼后缘采用的分段方向舵相比，“嵌入面”具有较小的雷达反射截面积。2004 年 2 月 23 日，x-47a 成功完成了历时 12 分钟的首次试飞。
为了与波音公司的 x-45c 竞争，诺斯罗普.格鲁门公司与洛克希德.马丁公司联手推出了 x-47b。与 x-47a 相比，x-47b 的体积将会更大，作战能力也会有质的提高。x-47b 具有极佳的隐身性能和战场生存能力，可以携带各种传感设备和内部武器装备载荷，并能进行空中加油。
