| 恩施市 位于中国湖北省西南部，清江上游，西北邻四川省。恩施土家族苗族自治州首府。面积3972平 方 千 米。人口约72万，以汉族为主。汉巫县地。三国时吴置沙渠县。元为施州。明洪武十四年（1381）置施州卫。清雍正六年(1728)改卫置恩施县。1982年划县城关镇及近郊置恩施市。1983年恩施县并入。恩施市境内为鄂西南山地。主要有煤 、铁、硫、水晶石等矿产。农业主产有玉米、水稻、红薯、小麦等。经济作物以桐、茶、漆、麻著名。恩施黑猪为优良品种。珍贵树种有穗花杉、珙桐、水杉等。产党参、当归、天麻等100多种药材。有机械、采煤、电力等工业。土特产品有玉露茶、板桥党参、石窑当归、紫油厚朴、香菌、中华猕猴桃等。是历史古城，抗日战争时期湖北省政府曾迁此。名胜古迹有连珠塔、文昌祠、柳州城遗址等。 |
