补充资料：卡萨格兰德遗址国家保护区
C.哥伦布发现美洲以前时期的印第安人遗址。位于美国亚利桑那州中南部的基拉河谷，南邻柯立芝。1694年，耶稣会传教士E.F.基诺发现该遗址后，称其为卡萨格兰德，意为"大楼房"。占地面积为 191公顷。1892年辟为保留地，1918年定为国家保护区。遗迹主体为一座高12米的 4层砖坯塔，系14世纪从北部移居此地的萨拉多印第安人所建。据考证，该塔是当时的瞭望塔和堡垒，是世界上同类建筑结构的唯一幸存者。塔的四周保留着原来村庄的一些倒塌建筑，其中还可以看到萨拉多印第安人继续使用年代更为久远的霍霍坎印第安农民建造的灌溉系统。
