| 蛾螺科 Buccinidae；whelks 软体动物门新腹足目的一科。贝壳卵圆形或纺锤形。螺旋部圆锥形，体螺层一般较大。贝壳表面光滑或具螺旋肋、斑点或花纹，并具黄褐色薄壳皮，具角质厣。蛾螺种类多，分布广。栖息于岩石、珊瑚礁、泥沙和软泥质的海底，中国沿海都有分布，北方常见的有香螺，南方常见的有泥东风螺，肉可食，肉和贝壳均可入药。 |
