二化螟
Chilo suppressalis;striped rice borer
    螟蛾科昆虫的一种。俗名钻心虫,蛀心虫、蛀秆虫等 。是水稻的劲敌。成虫翅展雄约20毫米,雌25~28毫米。头部淡灰褐色,额白色至烟色,圆形,顶端尖。胸部和翅基片白色至灰白,并带褐色。前翅黄褐至暗褐色,中室先端有紫黑斑点,中室下方有3个斑排成斜线。前翅外缘有7个黑点 。后翅白色,靠近翅外缘稍带褐色。雌虫体色比雄虫稍淡,前翅为黄褐色,后翅为白色。二化螟幼虫为害禾本科植物,也取食十字花科蔬菜和各种杂草。二化螟成虫白天潜伏于稻株下部,夜间飞舞。大多在午夜以前交配。雌蛾交配后,间隔一日即开始产卵。

   二化螟以幼虫越冬,主要在稻蔸内。越冬期如遇浸水则易死亡。二化螟每年发生的代数因纬度而异。在中国黑龙江省每年发生1代。江苏、浙江、福建、安徽、四川、贵州每年发生2~4代,海南每年发生5代。除纬度以外,海拔高度也影响发生代数。自从水稻种植改革以后,由于单季稻变成多季交错播种,相应给二化螟提供了生活有利的充足食料,发生代数与数量均有变化。由于采取各种措施、使用药剂、实行农业防治,已能控制螟害。
