【化学成分】
含对香豆酸、对-羟基苯甲酸。
【药理作用】
冷浸液、温浸液对金黄色葡萄球菌、大肠杆菌、产气杆菌有抑制作用。采集后6个月的水提取液较新鲜叶的作用更强，丙酮提取液作用又强于用其他溶媒的提取液。但无抗真菌作用。
【功用主治】
①陶弘景："疗手脚火烂疮。" ②《四声本草》："(煎)洗小儿壮热，一切疮疥，皮肤瘙痒。"
【选方】
治风癣疙瘩：梓叶、木绵子、羯羊屎、鼠屎等分，入瓶中，合定，烧取其汁涂之。(《试要录验方》)
