After contrasting the advantage and disadvantage of many methods, the combination of GPR and induced polarization is more reasonable and applied in one highway tunnnel of Hunan province.

In order to find out the noble metal resources urgent needed,coordinated with gold prospecting,the method of induced polarization was successfully used to find the auriferous fault alteration zone,and delineated its position in detail,which was testified by the drills later.

This paper introduces the application of the induced polarization method in a copper mine of Tibet,uses the IP intermediate gradient and DC IP sounding to select three electricity unusual points,extrapolates the characteristics of its source and the polarized object through the IP characteristics and the electricity characteristics of the rocks .

Based on the IP intermediate gradient and IP sounding,the authors delineate five induced polarization anomalies,and explain the characteristics of anomalies source and the polarized object combining with the IP characteristics and elecrical properties of rock and ore.
