The glacial gravel has high strength but couldn t be compacted easily;the filling materials made of glacial gravels in Jiangpinghe CFRD are compacted by impulsive vibro-roller,the compacted lift reaches 120 cm and the compactness is greatly improved;so the consturction progress of the dam is quickened and the cost is cut down.
冰渍砾岩填筑高面板堆石坝在国内外尚没有先例,其岩石强度高,不易碾压密实,采用冲击式振动碾碾压后,填料的压实密度得到了明显提高,铺料厚度也可以达到120 cm,对提高施工质量、加快施工进度和节约工程投资都具有显著的效果。

Its basic feature is the same as those of the glacio-marine diamictite of Gondwana facies in the southern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
察雅县吉塘镇澜沧江以西的酉西和泄巴发现冰海杂砾岩,是藏东地区班公湖-怒江缝合带以东首次发现的冈瓦纳相沉积岩,其基本特征与青藏高原南部的冈瓦纳相冰海杂砾岩相同,而吉塘镇澜沧江以东的石炭纪—二叠纪地层与古生物则是典型的扬子型的。
