The experiments of soil-water characteristics curves are made under different consolidation pressures for sliding zone soils of Gushubao landslide in the Qingjiang valley,with an advanced unsaturated soil shear instruments which can control suction.

The slope transient seepage field under the conditions of rainfall infiltration is simulated based on porous media saturation-unsaturated flow theory;by use of limit equilibrium theory,the influence of rainfall intensity,rainfall holders,prophase rainfall and rainfall pattern on slope stability are studied based on unsaturated soil shear strength theory and the results of seepage analysis.
