Based on the above mathematical model,the width of line buoys array,the detectable area and the number of buoys needed by the line buoys array and round buoys array for the bistatic(multistatic) sonar buoys array is calculated,and then compared with those for the traditional un-directional passive buoys array.

To overcome the influence of directional interference to bearing-only location and tracking by acoustic vector sensor buoys array(AVSBA),a method based on adaptive canceling to suppress coherent interference is put forward and extended for bearings-only location and tracking by AVSBA.
