   体液容量不足。原因为液体入量不足(如吞咽困难、昏迷)或丢失过多(如腹泻、呕吐、高热、呼吸加快、大面积烧伤、大量出汗等)。组成细胞外液的主要物质是水和钠,脱水常伴有电解质的丢失。小儿比成人更容易发生脱水,年龄越小越重。
   脱水的程度可分为:①轻度。小儿轻度脱水失水占体重5%以下 ,即<50毫升/千克(mL/kg)。②中度。失水占体重5%~10%,即50~100mL/kg;③重度  。脱水占体重10%以上,即100mL/kg以上。随脱水程度不同可表现为口渴、皮肤粘膜干燥、前囟眼窝凹陷、四肢凉,严重时则尿量极少,出现循环衰竭。
   依据电解质和水分在丢失过程中何者为主,脱水的类型可分为:①等渗性脱水。指水和钠按比例丢失,细胞外液渗透压不变  ,血钠在正常范围(130~150mEq/L);②低渗性脱水。指患者以失钠为主,细胞外液渗透压降低,血钠低于130mEq/L;③高渗性脱水。指失水比失钠更多,血钠高于150毫摩/升(mmol/L)。
   要纠正脱水,先要纠正脱水病因,可口服补液。中度以上脱水,则要进行液体疗法,在补液同时纠正酸碱平衡和电解质平衡。
