The allosteric effect of berberine chloride (BC), an active component of Traditional Chinese Medicine, on bovine serum albumin (BSA)-Cu2+ binding process has been studied by 1H NMR, circular dichroism, fluorescence spectroscopy and ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy.
