      有关制革工程方面的专著。美国F.奥弗莱厄蒂、W.T.罗迪和R.M.洛拉尔主编。1956~1965年由纽约莱恩霍尔特出版公司出版。20世纪40年代后期,对蛋白质特别是胶原及其性能的研究获得进展。为了将胶原组织结构等方面的研究成果与生产实践结合起来,加速制革生产工业化的进程,作者在综述和总结大量论文的基础上编撰了此书。该书主编均为美国辛辛那提大学皮革基础科学研究系(美国制革工业同业公会创设)教授,书中各个章节均由著名学者撰写。全书按课题分为4卷:卷Ⅰ论述鞣制前的准备(1~14章),1956年出版;卷Ⅱ论述各种鞣制法(15~30章),1958年出版;卷Ⅲ论述皮革质量的程序控制(31~49章),1962年出版;卷Ⅳ论述革的评价(50~64章),1965年出版。《皮革化学与工艺学》的特点是理论与实用并重。
