将收获后的作物茎秆或青饲作物铡切成碎段的饲料加工机械。主要有铡草机和青饲切碎机。二者的结构基本相同,都由喂入链、压草辊、上下喂入辊、切碎装置等组成(图1、图2)。作业时,物料由喂入链经压草辊和上下喂入辊压紧,送到切碎装置切成碎段,再经抛送叶片抛出机外。 切碎装置有滚刀式和盘刀式两种。滚刀式切碎器切刀刃口的运动轨迹呈滚筒状,饲料由径向喂入,在切刀和定刀作用下将饲料切成碎段。其结构紧凑、使用调节方便、功率消耗较少,多用于小型铡草机。为使切碎时饲料不产生滑移,切刀与定刀间的钳住角(推挤角)一般为40°~50°,切刀有螺旋线刃口和直刃口两种。螺旋线刃口切刀钳住性能好,切割质量高,切割阻力矩较均匀,但制造工艺复杂,磨刃困难。直刃口滚式切刀强度好,制造容易,磨刃方便,使用较普遍。盘刀式切碎器的切刀刃口轨迹呈圆盘状,饲料由轴向喂入,刀盘以350~750转/分的转速旋转切碎饲料,并能直接抛送饲料碎段。因此,功率消耗较大,多用于大、中型铡草机和青饲切碎机。盘式切刀有直刃口、 凸刃口和凹刃口3种。直刃口盘式切刀的切割阻力矩变化较大,但强度高,磨刃方便。凸刃口切刀多用偏心圆型,其切割阻力矩较均匀,但由于在切割近终了时钳住角过大,而产生偏磨现象。凹刃口切刀的钳住角较小,切割质量好,但磨刃较困难。制作青贮饲料用的青饲切碎机常用带有抛送叶板的盘刀式切碎器,能将青饲碎段直接送入青贮饲料塔或青贮窖、青贮壕内。若采用滚刀式切碎机,则应另设吹送风机,才能将青饲碎段抛入青贮建筑物内。
茎秆切碎机的碎段长度,可通过改变喂入速度或增减刀片数目来调节。在茎秆切碎机的喂入端,必须装设安全装置,以保证人身安全。
