BACKGROUND & AIM:To determine the acute oral toxicity and genetic toxicity of ethanol extracts from Momordica charantia(MC),so as to provide experimental basis for its exploitation.
背景与目的:了解苦瓜醇提取物的急性经口毒性和遗传毒性,为苦瓜提取物的食用、药用安全性提供实验依据。

Methods Maximal tolerance test was used to assess acute oral toxicity;methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium(MTT) test,neutral red intake test and clone-forming test were used to assess cytotoxicity;micronucleus test of bone marrow cell,Ames test,mouse lymphoma TK gene mutation assay and comet assay were used to assess genotoxicity.
方法急性经口毒性评价采用最大耐受量法,细胞毒性评价采用噻唑蓝(MTT法)、中性红吸收法(NPI法)和集落形成法,遗传毒性评价采用小鼠骨髓嗜多染红细胞微核试验、Ames试验、小鼠淋巴细胞杀伤细胞(TK)基因突变试验和彗星试验。
