According to the characteristic of nonmetallic structure of design for Changchun geomagnetic observation station,the author discusses synthetically the study progress of the carbon fiber bar concrete structure s application in Chinese geomagnetic observation station and discusses the designing and calculating approach in carbon fiber bar in this paper.

A new design concept of arranging partial carbon fiber bars in the plastic hinge region of piers was presented to reduce seismic damage,improve restoration capacity and reduced deformation of bridges during strong earthquake movement.
