帐 《释名》：“帐，张也，张施于床上也。”《急就篇》颜注也说：“自上而下覆谓之帐，帐者，张也。”它具有保暖、避虫、挡风、防尘等多种用途。同时，在各种色泽鲜明的丝织品精工制造的帐上，还可以加施华美的纹饰，悬垂香囊流苏，起着丰富室内装饰的作用。古诗《焦仲卿妻》中的“红罗覆斗帐，四角垂香囊”，描述的是当时一般家庭中少妇作用的帐，色泽和装饰己很讲究。至于皇室的御用品，更是垂珠悬玉，奢华异常。汉武帝时兴造的甲乙之帐，络以珠玉，杂错天下珍宝，正如后来沈约《咏帐诗》所咏：“甲帐垂和壁，螭云张桂宫。随珠既吐曜，翠被复含风。”当时又有“武帐”，在帐内安设有放置五兵的阑架。
