This paper suggests some improvements to the lecture experiment of the reaction between iron wire and copper sulfate solution in junior middle school text book, presents some methods for preparing the "copper tree" experiment and discusses some controversial issues related to Cu (OH)2·CuCO3 and CuSO4·5H2O.
