| 肯定与否定 position and negation 表明事物自身矛盾着的两个方面因素及其相互关系的一对哲学范畴。肯定是事物中维持其存在的方面，即维持事物为它自身而不是别物的方面。否定是事物中使其灭亡的方面，即促使一事物转化为其他事物的方面。肯定和否定作为一对哲学范畴，最早是由古希腊芝诺（爱利亚的）提出来的。但他以及后来的形而上学者，都把肯定和否定绝对地对立起来，看不到肯定和否定的辩证关系。对此，柏拉图 、普洛克洛、B.斯宾诺莎在个别方面已有所认识。G.W.F.黑格尔在唯心主义的基础上，阐述了概念中肯定和否定的辩证关系。马克思主义哲学吸取了黑格尔的论述中合理的东西，在唯物主义的基础上，揭示了客观事物中肯定和否定的辩证法。唯物辩证法认为，事物内部的肯定和否定是相互区别、相互对立的。肯定和否定两个方面彼此有着确定的界限，二者相互对立和排斥。但是，这两个对立的方面又是统一的，相互联系和相互制约的，它们在同对方的区别、相互关联中获得自身的规定性，并以对方的存在作为自身存在的前提。事物自身的肯定和否定两个方面，由于内在的矛盾而彼此进行着斗争，当肯定的方面处于矛盾的主导地位时，事物保持其原来的性质和存在；当否定的方面在一定条件下取得支配地位时，事物就超越自身 ，转化为自身的对立面 ，一事物就变为他事物。新事物是对旧事物否定的标志，它自身内部又包含着肯定和否定自己的两个方面，这两个方面又在新的条件下既对立又统一，展现出新的矛盾运动过程（见否定之否定规律）。 |
