Based on more sources,the author points out that the equation solution of the Zhongxi Shuxue Tushuo of Li Dupei comes from the Tongwen Suanzhi and some Chinese traditional mathematics books.
在进一步发掘史料的基础上,通过分析李笃培《中西数学图说》中方程解法的资料来源,指出《中西数学图说》中的方程解法参考了明代传统算书和《同文算指》中的方法,由于认识上的局限,李笃培误将一般二次方程的数值解法当作西法,而事实上,此法来自明代算学家周述学的《神道大编历宗算会》。
