古代刺客的暗杀手段
这是古代刺客最常用的方法。由于剑短小轻便，且有两面锋刃，行刺起来较为便捷，故常作刺客的武器。春秋著名刺客专诸，就是在一盆炙鱼中藏一把短剑，假装献食，抽出宝剑而刺杀吴王僚的。汉梁王的刺客刺死大臣用的也是剑，由于刺后剑留在现场，人们因知道此剑的主人是梁王，因而破案。在古代史作中，凡未指明特定武器的刺杀，一般指的是剑刺。
