参照团体(referenee group)该名词首由海曼(Hyman，H.H)于1942年应用于团体研究中，与隶属团体相对。指被个体视为判断事物之依据或是自己行为的楷模的团体。一个人可以有许多参照团体，有时它可以是内团体，有时也可以是外团体(参见“内、外团体，’)。人们对自己或对外部世界的看法通常是依照他们所参与的团体的观点体系，但也有时以自己所希冀或羡慕的团体或以社会上一般的价值标准作为楷模。所以，参照团体可以是他人所参与的团体，也可以是虚构的或是理想的团体。 (林乘肾撰沈德灿审)
